Weight Loss & Weight Control Through Exercise & Physical Activity

Exercise helps to control your weight by using excess calories that otherwise would be stored as fat. your body weight is regulated by the number of calories you eat and use each day. Everything you eat contains calories, and everything you do uses calories, including sleeping, breathing, and digesting food. Any physical activity in addition to what you normally do will use extra calories.

Regular exercise is an important part of effective weight loss and weight maintenance. It also can help prevent several diseases and improve your overall health. It does not matter what type of physical activity you perform--sports, planned exercise, household chores, yard work, or work-related tasks--all are beneficial.

Studies show that even the most inactive people can gain significant health benefits if they accumulate 30 minutes or more of physical activity per day. Research consistently shows that regular physical activity, combined with healthy eating habits, is the most efficient and healthful way to control your weight. Whether you are trying to lose weight or maintain it, you should understand the important role of physical activity and include it in your lifestyle.
Balancing the calories you use through physical activity with the calories you eat will help you achieve your desired weight

a) When you eat more calories than you need to perform your day's activities, your body stores the extra calories and you gain weight
b) When you eat fewer calories than you use, your body uses the stored calories and you lose weight.
c) When you eat the same amount of calories as your body uses, your weight stays the same.

Any type of physical activity you choose to do--strenuous activities such as running or aerobic dancing or moderate-intensity activities such as walking or household work--will increase the number of calories your body uses. The key to successful weight control and improved overall health is making physical activity a part of your daily routine.

Start of a Journey....

Well, it's finally here. I'd decided to start organizing some outdoor workout session for all on a weekly basis, at least 3 times a week. It will be strictly for newcomers, ex-athletes, & even athletes want-to-be.

After some research that I'd done, randomly, I'd manage to found out that there are (literally) heaps of people in the society, mainly from the office working adults are have the idea of wanting to lose some of the extra pound that they'd gain due to lack of time to do things that they would want & like to do, especially exercise / workout, be it for Indoor or Outdoor.

Honestly, I used to be a part of this lifestyle that majority of people are facing & living in. Ever since something in life & amongst my friends had happened, that "something" smacked me in my face, hard, that I needed this change in life before it is all too late.

I'd decided to change my living life style....

Some photos of myself before:

*These photos are back in 2006, I was not even @ my heaviest weight but then I was nearing to about 80kgs. My heaviest was @ 85kgs

Now in the year 2009, some of the achievements that I can share here:

*These photos are in 2009, the weight that I'm @ is @ 70kgs. I used only 4months to lose 15kgs. There are just mere accomplishments. More to come.

I'm not trying to show off or anything, however, if one sets a mind to do it, everything is achievable. Just don't let the excuses as such:
1. Lack of time / Too much work / Long working hours & endless meetings
2. Rather Sleep / Shopping / Dating / Party & etc than workout
3. Not as fit as others / Never an athlete from a start
4. Crazy people only do all these sports
5. Weather too hot, rather go gym (which I can also share on my experience in this matter)
6. Rather pay for slimming company for help with weight lost /Take weight lost suppliments
7. ... ... & the list just goes on & on & on & on... ...

These are just excuses that I too have told myself daily when it comes to workout.

Just give yourself a thought about it. Would 30mins to an hour a day & 3 times a week, too much to ask to keep yourselves healthy?

Just think deep... I'll share more along the way...
